Vacation Plans and Passport and Visa Holdings

In Turkey, 1 in 4 people says, "We/I never go on vacation." Among retirees, housewives, and the unemployed, the proportion of those who have no vacation plans this year and those who never go on vacation is over 50 percent. Among those who do take vacations, the highest rate belongs to white-collar workers. Among political groups, the segment with the highest rate of those who never take a vacation is DEM Party voters. As the income level increases, the proportion of those with vacation plans also increases. A relationship is also observed between the variables of conservatism and religiosity and the practice of making vacation plans. The proportion of those holding a passport has risen to 21%. The rate of passport ownership among men is higher than that of women. As the education level increases, the tendency to own a passport also rises. "Modern" individuals state that they obtain their passports for vacation, while "religious" individuals state they do so to go on pilgrimage. Finally, while those whose visa applications were approved within the last year are mostly among white-collar workers, those receiving the most rejections are among students.
